Jeremy Kern, MD, is a pediatric hospitalist at Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC) in Washington, D.C. Jeremy is also an associate program director for the pediatric residency at CNMC and the director of 4th-year medical student pediatric electives at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He has a strong interest in both medical education and global health. Jeremy is deeply involved in CNMC’s education of future pediatricians. He is a graduate of both the Academic Pediatric Association’s Educational Scholars Program and George Washington University’s Master Teacher Leadership Development Program.

For the last several years, Jeremy has helped lead the George Washington University–Project Medishare medical mission trip to Thomonde, Haiti. This is a week-long trip that focuses on helping provide medical care in an extremely underserved area. Additionally, it is an opportunity for students interested in different fields of healthcare to better understand the complexities and challenges of global health.
